Our last participation at Maison & Objet was in 2018. That year, the results were below our expectations. Despite the effort and investment, the fair didn’t bring the return we had anticipated. After that, we chose to step back and rethink our approach to international trade events.
In 2022, we decided to return. Maison & Objet had gained renewed importance in the European market, particularly in the interior design sector. We saw this as a new opportunity to reposition our brand and present cork in a more contemporary and refined way.
For this edition, we focused on cork products with a strong design element, mainly aimed at the home segment. We showcased benches, tables, and wall décor pieces. All items were chosen to highlight cork’s natural beauty, functionality, and ability to adapt to modern interiors.
The feedback was very encouraging. We received a high number of visitors, including architects, interior designers, and potential clients. Many showed real interest in our products and their sustainable appeal. The overall response exceeded our expectations.
This return to Maison & Objet proved to be a valuable experience. It confirmed that our strategy — focusing on design and sustainability — is the right path forward. Cork, as a natural and renewable material, continues to gain visibility and relevance in the global design industry.
Participating in this fair allowed us not only to strengthen existing relationships but also to open doors to new markets and collaborations. It was an opportunity to share our vision and showcase what makes cork unique.
We look forward to future editions and to continuing this journey of innovation and growth, with cork at the center of it.
